You will recognize Colina Paula by its custom-made iron gate that is now our logo. Banana plants, citrus and mango trees line the drive to the guest house house we call Serenity. Guests are welcome to share in the abundance of oranges, tangerines and "limones" available nearly year-round, Costa Rican "limones" (pronnounced "lee-moan-ace") are a variety of green lemons and they make a most refreshing natural lemonade!
The Colina Paula bridge is at the bottom of the hill on which the house is built. It looks out over the Costa Rica hills and mountains. For gardeners, there are Bougainvillea, Ginger, Oleanders, and Palms all along the way.
Colnia Paula stretches extensively beyond Serenity House to several higher plateau. A walk may be rewarded with a fabulous views of the Pacific coast and/or Poas volcano! It is a breath-taking vantage point and ideal location for appreciating nature, meditating, and for photo opportunities. You might even catch views of flocks of green parakeets and resident Toucans!
The caretaker will bring fresh eggs in the morning and seasonal fruit from the farm. Our management company, Costa Rica Hosts, is available to meet and greet you. They will pick you up at the airport (just 25 min. from Colina Paula) and be your chauffeur while you are in Costa Rica. Besides transportation, Costa Rica Hosts will gladly assist you in anything you may need to make your stay the best possible.
